Rev. William Lewis GARDNER
b. 14 Mar 1829, Lisbon, Ohio, d. 04 Mar 1913, Prescott, Linn County, KS.
He pastored in Maryville, Nodaway, MO; Mercer County, MO; Madina, MO; and at Ft Scott, Bourbon, KS, then moved to Prescott where he passed away. He would have moved to Prescott sometime after his wife died in 1904.
He and his wife Eliza lived across the road from the Borden Condensery (near Ft Scott). She is buried in the Chapel Green Cemetery near Ft Scott, and he is buried in the Prescott Cemetery.
I cannot find a listing anywhere for a "Prescott Cemetery" and wonder if the name has been changed?
His son Emmett C. GARDNER (my paternal great grandfather) is also buried in that cemetery.
Any help with this family is greatly appreciated!
