I am seeking information on a John(or Jack)Howard who moved to Kansas City, Mo around 1912. We have letters stating that he married a Bertha Harris on Sept. 1913 in Independence, Mo. They lived at 5605 E. 27th St., in Jackson Co., Mo. for a short time. John then moved to 2629 Jackson Ave. Kansas City, Mo.

John was born John B Ditzenberger in Whitley Co., In. in Mar 1875. He married Lillie Byrum in 1897. They had 8 children. In 1911, he left his wife and children and moved to Mo., where he then changed his name to John B Howard.

My mother-in-law is the only one still living of the eight children. She is now 97 years old. Before she dies, she would love to know where her father is buried.

Can anyone help me with research in Jackson Co., Mo. on this man. I have already written to the Vital records office and they informed that they could not find anything on this man.
