I am great great grandson of Harmon Hambleton Hurst of Walnut,Kansas. He moved to Walnut in 1866 after his honorable discharge August 15, 1865 at Little Rock,Ark from Co B,10th Iowa Infantry and was featured in William G. Cutler's HISTORY OF THE STATE OF KANSAS, PART 5, CRAWFORD COUNTY IN 1883. He was born to family of 12 to William Hurst and Elizabeth Elmira Sigler who are buried in Hurst Cemetery outside Milan, Missouri. His daughter 2nd wife Ruth Huntley Minnie Belle Hurst Alexander, my Great paternal Grandmother was born Oct 6,1868 in Walnut died Aug 15, 1861 in Pittsburg and was buried in Walnut. Her daughter Ruth Alexander,my paternal grandmother was married to Albert Glenn Wright an orphan train rider to Girard, Kansaswith his brother Will Griffin on Sept. 25, 1894. Both brothers died in July 1968 and are buried in Fairlawn Cemetery in Hutchinson, Kansas.
My interest is to find a funeral notice, obit etc. for Harmon Hurst's death in 1910. He was listed in the june 1910 Federal census in Walnut though his twice widowed Mary Frances Andrews,Noland,Morrow,Hurst filed a civil war widows pension request dated MArch 18, 1910. can you help
