Kuhrt Farms are well known around the North Eastern part of the county. Both of my Grandfathers worked there when they came to Sherman County.

When I was a very young we went hunting at the farm occupied by Paul and Emilia Kuhrt. They were brother and sister. There was a nephew, not sure the last name was Kuhrt however, that was the heir to the farm that stills farms.

The musuem in Goodland should be able to help you with some info on the Kuhrts, as they were known very widely across that part of the country.
