Hi. My Great Great Grandparents James and Cassandra (Kate) Huston and their family were also on the 1880 census for Walnut, KS. They came from Indiana as well. My Great Great Grandparents Ambrose and Margaret Bundy also lived at Walnut at that time.

I have four pictures that could be of interest. One is a group shot of unidentified people at some sort of gathering. The other ones also have unidentified people in them and are of the Walnut railroad station, a house in Walnut - possibly Ambrose Bundy's and a lumber co - I think it's called "Longbell Lumber Company". I'll scan and send them to you and anyone else who is interested.
