Bernice Irene Keith
Longtime Limon [CO] resident, 74

Wednesday, June 7 [1989] services were conducted for Bernice Irene Woollum Keith at the Limon Bible Chapel at 10 a.m. Keith passed away on June 2 at the Prarie View Nursing Home in Limon.

Evangelist Ben F. Parmer officiated the services.

Casket bearers were Alvin Fager, Wayne Windell, Terry Jaques, Clem Wiechman, Richard Parmer and John Foncannnon. Interment was in Pershing Memorial Cemetery under the direction of The Love Funeral Home.

Keith was born May 20, 1915 in Hill City, Kan. to Harry Richard and Sarah Van Norman Woollum. She was the youngest of five children.

Keith attended high school at McCook, Neb. and graduated in 1934 and in 1938 she graduated from McCook Junior College.

She taught school for several years. Keith and her sister, Lucille, lived in McCook with an aunt and uncle while she received her schooling.

She was united in marriage to Edwin Keith on August 20, 1946. They had no children of their own. They made their home in Limon except for one and one half years of their married life. Keith worked at various cafes in Limon.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, three sister [sic], Stella Franks, Hazel Smiley, and Opal Woollum, and one brother, Milo Woollum.

She is survived by one sister, Lucille Puffpoff, who resides in Kremmling [CO].
