1880 Census of Osborne county lists John, his wife Mary and children Walter H, Clara E., Eva A., his children by his 1st wife-her sister Esther Scott Sinclair, and Jennie and George Hiler, her children by her marriage to Jim Hiler (deceased in CA hunting for gold). Also listed in a separate household are A. (Alexander) Sinclair and his wife Rhoda both age 23. A land deed 8 Feb 1893 lists John and Mary H. Sinclair giving to Wm H. and Cecelia Perkett of Joplin Co., MO Lots in Downs City, Osborne, KS. Cecelia is a sister to A. (Alexander) Sinclair and daughter of John "C" Sinclair.
