Looking for information on available medical training in 1880. I've located a C. Ulrich, age 20, on the 1880 Mitchell Co. census, township Scottsville, district 17, occupation given as "Studying physician", living in the household of F.M. Daily, occupation: Physician. Does anyone know if there was a medical school or if I could contact the state for medical licensing, for this time period, etc...? I need more information on this C. Ulrich.
