Looking for Alma Hanna born in Clayton County, Iowa in 1878. Parents were Richard C. Hanna and Virginia Stroud Hanna. Richard was sometimes referred to as Dixi Hanna. In Richard Hanna's death notice it refers to him as having a daughter living in Kansas. This would have been in 1914. I am assuming that Alma was married since I can not find any Alma Hanna in the Kansas census records for 1900 thru 1930. Am looking for Alma's mother, Virgina Stroud Hanna. Can't find anything on Virginia after the 1880 census when the family was living in Elkader, Clayton County, Iowa. Found Alma's father in Dubuque, Iowa, working at the Trexlar Livery. He died in Dubuque about 1914 from head injuries he suffered trying to control a runaway horse and sleigh. Would greatly appreciate any information anyone might have of this family. Thank you.
