obit: Services Today For Mrs. Rodenbeck

Funeral services are being held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock for Mrs. Charles A. Rodenbeek. The funeral will be from the First Baptist Church, in charge of the pastor, Rev. Lloyd E. Griffeth, and interment will be in the Scott County cemetery beside her husband who died in 1931.
Mrs. Rodenbeek was well known here, where she had lived for many years. She had been living with a daughter, Mrs. William Robb and Mr. Robb since 1942, and was visiting another daughter in Boulder, Colo., when she became ill. She died at that place Monday following a short illness.
Wilhelmina "Minnie" Frick was born Aug.25, 1888, the daughter of Max and Augusta Frick at Hallam, Nebr.. Her father came to the United States from Altheim, Germany, and her mother, Augusta Balum was from Klein Bauden, Germany. They met in Pennsylvannia where they later married and then moved to Nebraska, the birth place of their daughter.
When Wilhelmina was 6 years of age the family moved to Rawlins county, and it was there that she was united in marriage to Charles A. Rodenbeek, March 7, 1906. To this family five children were born, all of whom survive. They move to Scott City in June 1926, and Mr. Rodenbeek died here in October 1931. Mrs. ROdenbeek then made her home with her father in Ludel until his death April 3. 1942, and then came here to live with Mr. and Mrs. Robb.
The children are three daughters, Mrs. Robb and Mrs. Johanna Mulch of Scott City and Mrs. Elizabeth Owens of Boulder, and two sons, Edward of this city and Francis of Santa Fe, N. M.
Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Emma Focke of Franklin, Nebr., Mrs. Carrie Block of Ocean Park, Calif., and Mrs. Elizabeth Andrews of Omaha, Nebr.; three brothers, Charles and John Frick of Atwood and Max Frick of Trenton, Nebr.; a cousin, Lena Holthus of Ludell, and nine grandchildren, James, Joanne, Susanne and Marianne Rodenbeek and Linda Kay Mulch of Scott City, Susan and Charles Rodenbeek of Santa Fe, N.M., Ronald Owens of Boulder, Colo., and Mrs. Kenneth Garrison of Denver.
