My maternal great grandfather Gustav T. Sitz, his wife Caroline A. Sitz (nee: Hirschfeld) and their three daughters; Augusta b. 1869, Emma M. b. abt 1874, and Clara M. b. 1879 immigrated from Prussia in 1882 to KS. They mostly lived in Trego County from at least 1900 (census info) thru 1930. In 1900 in Riverside Township I can find Gustav and Caroline in one household, Emma living with her husband William M. Nelson in another and Clara living with her husband Sampson Greenberry Rountree in another. I can not find Augusta (a.k.a. Jes or Jessie) and her husband (surname Joswakoske) and their daughter Eva b. abt. 1896 in KS.
Eva and some of the descendants of William and Emma Nelson were living in Ellis Co. in the early to mid 1960's when Eva passed away.
