Seeking information on a Phineas and Eliza Ann (WILSON) HILL who are found on the 1880 Labette Co., Kansas census (Walton Twp). With them - their daughter Josephine HILLS and their granddaughter, Ida, and also a farm laborer with the last name of HILLS. Josephine is also found on the 1880 census in Parsons - with an E.L. Hill - as a boarder. She must have been at each place when the census was taken. Phineas was b abt 1823 in Vermont; Eliza was b Jun 1827 in New York. They appear on the 1860 Washington Co., New York census with their two daughters, Josephine and Celia (both born in New York) - can't find the family in 1870 - but find them in Kansas in 1880. Josephine had married George HILLS, and is listed as widowed/married on 1880 census. Ida Josephine & George's daughter)(and only child), grew to marry Cyrus E. THURSTON - later residents of Parsons - and around Altamont (I have that info). By 1900, Eliza A. HILL appeared on the 1900 census Labette Co., Liberty Twp. - as a widow, age 72 - and the mother of six children, with none living. Now for the questions - does anyone know anything about any of them (I have information on Ida and Cyrus THURSTON), but I can't find a trace of Phineas, Eliza, or Josephine - like where they were buried? When they died? If Josephine was related to the E.L. HILLS in Parsons by marriage to George? What happened to George? Did Josephine remarry? Any help would be SO appreciated. Thanks
