I am researching Aquilla PHY who moved with his family to DeSoto, Kansas sometime before the 1860 census. Aquilla was born in 1805 in Tennessee and migrated to Missouri in 1939. In 1855 he remarried Martha Ann GENTRY. I believe they moved to DeSoto sometime after 1857. One of Aquilla's sons, James Calaway PHY, married Caroline READY in 1861, maybe in Kansas. The PHY family married into the FRAMPTON family in the 1880s in DeSoto. I would be interested in contacting anyone who is also working on these surnames.
