Can anyone give me information about an A.W. McConnell, age 30 on 1870 census? He was living in Westralia, working as a carpenter and was born in IN. Don't believe he is related to the other McConnells in Montgomery County.
The man I'm interested in was born in Goshen, Elkhart Co. IN in 1840 to Joseph & Eda (Lee) McConnell. He had several sisters who lived in Labette Co. in 1870. He had served in the Civil War from IN but never claimed a pension. Believe he must have died before 1880. I am looking for his death date and place.
