I am looking for documented information on a Texas born lawman killed in Independence, Kansas on May 5, 1922, by two of that city's police officers who were dispatched to quell a disturbance in which Ballew was the main perpetrator. David Monticello "Bud" Ballew was born in Fannin County, Texas in 1877. I have contacted other sites as well as yours.
