It was on the same site and probably the same building that on 03 March 1884, another postoffice was established by Wm. L. Bradley and was given the name of Myra. Bradley also kept a small general store on the crossroads where the settlement of Belmont had once been. And we believe that the people of that locality referred to it as the Belmont postoffice in later years. Bradley kept the postoffice and store until about 10 years later, when it was taken over by R.L. Sievert on 14 April 1894. The postoffice was discontinued and papers to Yates Center effective 31 March 1895. Mail had been brought from Yates Center on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The Yates Center News of 11 March 1887 carried this item: "The first letter with a special delivery stamp on it was received at \'b7Myra postoffice last week. Nasby(?) had to wade through mud a half mile to deliver it."
