I buried Sarah the 30th day of september. I am left alone in this world with two little babies. O mother if you only could have been here. She was confined to her bed on the 22th of september. She was sick only about two hours when we had a little boy born. Sary was very proud of it and felt very well and she was getting along first rate except one little spell of the collick but that did not last long and she was gaining all the time untill Saturday evening when she had a little fevor I wanted to go for the doctor but she did not want me to go but I wint and fetch the Doc and he said she had a litle atact of the billious fevor and he give her a dose of calamel and left said he would come back in the morning . well the morning came she was feeling quite well. I ask her if she would eat something she said that she would wait untill the medicine worked off. Well I ate my beakfast and went in the ___ her hands was cold she said she felt well enuf only the palms of her hands felt dead. I rubed and bathe them with warm soda water but could get no warmth in them. The doctor came in he said she had a conjestive chill. I sent for Ed and hep but thay did not get here, she died in a bout an hour and a half. Mother we done all that was inour power to saveher but we had the ___ part. She is gone. I hope she is in heaven she sang a him about five minutes before she dide. She past of without a strugal. My little children is pretty well. Jessie is feeling bad this morning but I think it is her teeth. She has got two teeth that is not threw yet. Jessie & me is staying at Edwards and our little boy is at Jim Keeney's Permela is going to keep it for the present. Sarah named himThomas Edward. He is hearty and is growing right along.
