Interested in descendants of Jacob Neibarger d. 1899, George Washington Neibarger d. 1912, who would be uncles to my gggrandmother. My gg grandmother, Lucy Margie Neighbarger and her husband Andrew Jackson Weaver relocated to Woodson co., KS in 1885 from Wisconsin. They stayed about one year, then moved to Brownington, Henry, MO. I am very interested in any information concerning the family of Richard Harrison Trueblood from Yates Center, Woodson County, KS. Richard Trueblood married Jessie M. Hulsey on April 9, 1913, in Wichita, Kansas. The only child I am aware of is Richard Hulsey Trueblood, b. abt 1914. Richard H. Trueblood was the editor of the Yates Center News newspaper in the late 1800s and early 1900s. He died sometime around 1936. His wife, Jessie M. Hulsey Trueblood is the sister of my husband's grandfather, Walter A. Hulsey. Jessie's mother, Eliza A. Hulsey Goldsborough lived with Richard and Jessie in Yates Center in 1920, according to the census. I am very interested in any information concerning where Richard and Jessie Trueblood and Eliza A. Goldsborough is buried. If anyone has any information I would greatly appreciate it. Imogene Hulsey

I am looking for information on the Harris or Hern family who I believe came to Woodson County sometime in the mid 1850's to 1860's from Missouri. Two Harris young men and their sister moved to Woodson County from Missouri, having first come with their mother and another brother to Missouri from Madison Co., Ky. Don't know if she came to Kansas later than the children but she is said to be buried in Yates Center. I don't know the date of her death but she was born approx.1810 in Ky and was alive in 1860 in Randolph Co. Mo. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks Marilyn Newton

I am searching for any Coopers in Woodson county, they left Iowa around 1863-1865. They were in Woodson Co. first, I know that my Grandmother was born in Buffalo Kansas in Wilson Co. Maggie Cooper born possible 1917 I have a birth certificate that looks altered with the date March 1, 1913 so I am not sure what the date is. Her father is Charles Lee Cooper and her mother is Jenny (Jenice) Damron Cooper. I believe there is a connection with the Woodson Co. Joshua Cooper (1817), Mellisa Cooper(1822) and there sibblings, Iona (1849), Leucilla (1857), William O (1859), Amy (1860), Mary (1862), James (1866) born in KS, Thressa Carr (1862). I am looking for information on Mary Catherine Hoppes, Her mother was Barbara Ann Taylor, and her step-father was John Taylor. She Married Charles Harris 1-18-1882 and they was divorced 10-13-1898. I am trying to find the parents of Hettie (possibly Hester) Mitchell who lived in Neosha Falls. She was married to William Bacus b. 1839 in Parke County, Indiana. Hettie was born in 1847 and died in 1878. I find Mitchells in the Census of 1850-60-70. There is a Hester Mitchell in the 1860 Census but she was in her sixties. Could she be the grandmother of Hettie Mitchell? After the death of Hettie, her husband moved with his son, Edmond to St. Louis, Mo. and then to Illinois. Searching for information on Margaret E. Irvine and family. Margaret was born in Rockbridge County, Virginia, the daughter of Lawson W. & Caroline Black Johnson. She married Jacob Abner Irvine and moved to Jackson Conty, MO., in March, 1884. From there they moved to Yates Center, Kansas. She died there 13 March 1945.
