SOUTHARD (Oscar) Location unknown; 1900- . From: - Barbara LaChance (Apr 19, 1999)
B. Nov. 1861, possibly in NY. M. Mabel Lucille HUNTER of Union City, PA in Salamanca, NY on 25 Aug 1891. Sired two children - Frederick and Gladys and in 1898 sent Mabel and the children to WA with her parents and the promise to follow. The closest he had gotten to WA by Dec. 1900 was Wyandotte County, KS where he was served with divorce papers. Oscar was a Metal Turner, apparently the equivalent of today's lathe operator, so I would think he would have settled in or around a larger city. I am trying to find the names of Oscar's parents and the dates and places of his birth and death. Thanks. Barbara

OCHS (Heinrich or Henry, (Or Otto James); Catherine (maiden name unknown)) Kansas City, Kansas around 1930, Immigrated from Germany in 1883 . From: - Bob Ochs (Aug 8, 1999)
I am trying to find my great-great grandfather and grandmother who had immigrated from Germany in 1883. The passenger list reflects they had six children-Emma, Emilie, Catharina, Anna, Heinrich, and Otto. They may have had another daughter named Lydia after they arrived. My line is through Otto. My family seems to think that Otto's father's name was the same as his-Otto James Ochs, but the passenger list does not reflect that. His German name is reflected as Heinrich and his birth year should be around 1844 or 1845. Perhaps Otto Henry or Henry Otto? My aunt remembers attending his funeral. She says he is buried in a cemetery that is on, around, or near Qunidaro. I would like to know his date of birth, date of death, and birth place. Can you help me?

LINDSAY (John and Margaret SPEIGHT LINDSAY) Kansas City 1879 . From: - Charlene Hyde (Sep 19, 1999)
Margaret SPEIGHT LINDSAY died 21 September 1879. I have heard different causes of death...she died in childbirth...she was killed falling beneath a train. John LINDSAY was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad and retired from the Company. If she was killed in an accident involving a train, I would think there would have been some kind of a report made. I have never been able to verify an accident. I would appreciate any suggestions. EDWARDS (ALLEN B AND SERILDA DALTON) . From: - Shirley J Kovar (Sep 27, 1999)
On 1870 Census Index it shows an Allen B Edwards living in Wyandotte County but Serilda is not shown living there with him. We know that they were together in 1868, and had a son named William O or D Edwards who was a minor and his grandmother Nancy Smith Clark Dalton was made his guardian in 1867. We would like to know if Zerilda or Serilda was deceased or had divorced Allen B. Edwards and had remarried as early as 1867. A receipt (in her own handwriting) dated in 1867 from Leavenworth Co., filed in the guardianship papers is signed by Serilda (last name unreadable) and a note that she was the wife of Allen B. Edwards. Any information on the Edwards family would be very much appreciated. Of any information about Serilda Dalton Edwards would also be very much appreciated. We do know that William O or D Edwards (minor son of Allen B and Serilda) was living with another family in Dade Co., Missouri in 1870. Nancy his grandmother had taken him there with her and her son Jasper Newton Dalton in 1868. Thanks for any help anyone can give us on any of the Edwards and Dalton families.
