Jessie, the two-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank McKinzie, died at their home Sunday and was laid to rest in the Iola cemetery Monday. Its death was caused by a trouble of the stomach. The young father and mother have the sympathy of their friends.

Mr and Mrs. Frank McKinzie are very thankful for the kindnesses shown them during the sickness and death of their child.

From the Iola Register, Iola, Allen County, Kansas, Friday August 6, 1897.

Died - At his home in Iola, Monday morning, August 2, 1897, Mr. Bertie Orville Graham in the 25th year of his age, after a week of sickness. He went to work at the smelter a week ago last Monday as bright and chipper as was his way always and after he had worked about half an hour he was taken with wiolent pains in the stomach, quit work and went home. His malada soon developed into congestion of the stomach and it was then discovered that he could not recover. Bert was the main support of a large family and his loss will be a terrible blow to his parents who are now quite aged. They have the heartfelt sympathy of all their friends in this sad loss.

The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Garner (colored) died Tuesday morning about four o'clock and was buried Tuesday afternoon. Blood-poison was the cause of its death.

From the Iola Register, Iola, Allen County, Kansas, Friday August 6, 1897.

Died - At his home in Iola, Wednesday morniong, August 4, 1897, William Henry Langley, in the 39th year of his age.

Mr. Langley was born in Monroeville, Ohio, March 1st 1857 and lived there with his parents until they came to Kansas in 1877, where he has since lived.

Mr. Langley was hurt in a runaway some time ago and shortly afterwards was taken ill and has gradually grown worse until the end came. He was well known by nearly everyone in Iola and was a highly respected citizen. He leaves a wife and a number of relatives to mourn his loss

Mr. Langley was a member of the A.O.U.W. and the Baptist church. The funeral services will be held in the A.O.U.W. hall this afternoon and will be conducted by Rev. King, of Cherryvale.

Married - At the Presbyterian church, Rev. Beeson officiating, Alta Miller Dunlap and Miss Sadie Ethel Jones. The groom is the se cond son of Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Dunlap and has lived here all his life and has always been a genuine favorite among his neighbors. The bride has lived here but a few years, but has many friends who will wish the young couple a long, happy and useful life together. They will go to housekeeping as soon as their house, which is being built on Mr. Dunlap's farm, is completed. Alta and his father are partners in the stock business.
