Monument, a village in Logan county, is located in Monument township on the Union Pacific R. R., 16 miles northeast of Russell Springs, the county seat. It has a bank, a grain elevator, a hotel, a number of stores, an express office, and a money order postoffice with two rural routes. The population according to the census of 1910 was 150.
