Shaw, one of the villages of Neosho county, is located in Erie township on the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe R. R., 4 miles west of Erie, the county seat. It has telegraph and express offices, a good local trade, and a money order postoffice with one rural route. The population in 1910 was 125.
