Description: Age, 32; height, 5 ft. 5 3/4 in.; weight, 176; hair, black; complexion, medium dark; build, stout, rugged; eyes, hazel; nativity, Kansas. Occupation, farmer.

Marks and scars: 1. Several irregular scars on second phalanx index. Vertical cut scar 1 in. long on palm of hand. Tattoo in blue, green, red and yellow of nude woman, with butterfly wings and letters, "John Welter," 3 in. above wrist joint. II. Tattoo in red and blue of dagger piercing flesh, 2 1/2 in. above wrist joint. Tattoo of blue, red and yellow, nude woman holding cigar, 4 in. above wrist joint.
