| Obituary of ETHEL (BOUCHER) BROOMFIELD |
| Services for Ethel Broomfield, 79, Jay,
who died at 5pm Thursday, February 9, 1984 at Jay Memorial Hospital after
a long illness, were held at 2 pm Sunday at the Mount Hermon Church near
Jay. Audrey Thomas and Chas Foreman, ministers, officiated. Burial in the Mount Hermon Cemetery under the direction of the Lawson Funeral Home, Jay. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Mrs Broomfield was born July 8, 1904 at Augusta, Kansas, daughter of Harley O. and Flora Iola "Theetge" Boucher. She had lived in the Jay area the past 13 years. She attended Mount Hermon Church. She married Forrest Broomfield on February 19, 1926 at Wichita, Kansas. He survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Lois Flewelling, Soldier, Kansas; Marjorie Broomfield, Jay; and Helen Addington, Tulsa; 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. |
