Obituary of EDNA GENEVA CHRISTINA OLSON
Edna Geneva Christina Olson, 98, of El Dorado, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Lake Point Nursing Complex in El Dorado.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, at Carlson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Towanda Cemetery.

She was born in Erie on Feb. 23, 1901 to Olaf Benjamin and Selma (Carlson) Olson. She worked at Kress in Chanute. After moving to Butler County, she lived in Towanda and later in El Dorado, where she retired from J.C. Penney's. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in El Dorado.

She is survived by a sister, Bernice Overton and her husband, Hollis of Towanda; two nieces, Diane (Overton) Kirkpatrick of Towanda and Karen (Olson) Shumate of Emporia; three nephews, Willard Olson of Paradise Valley, Ariz., Willis Olson of Shawnee and Doug Olson of Jacksonville, Fla. and several great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and five brothers.

A memorial has been established for the First United Methodist Church. Contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home.
