Obituary of GERTRUDE CASSIE "BOUCHER" PARKS
Gertrude Cassie " Boucher" Parks, 98, of Eureka, died Friday, May 29, 1998 at Medicalodge of Eureka.

Her funeral service was held this morning at the Campbell- Kelley Funeral Home in Eureka with Rev. Lynn Sifrit, pastor of the Eureka First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was held at Greenwood Cemetery.

She was born March 3, 1900 at Towanda, the daughter of Henry E. and Bird Virginia (Griffith) Boucher. She was raised on a farm near Towanda and attended Butler County rur- al schools and Towanda High School.

On Nov. 6, 1918 she was untied in marriage to Donald ,Ray Parks in Towanda. They made their home in the Benton area and she was a homemaker and postmistress at the Benton post office. In April of 1930, they moved to Eureka where they owned and operated the C.R.Parks Oil Co. service station for 40 years before retiring.

Donald preceded her in death May 11, 1986.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.

She was a member of the Tonovay Ladies club and was a long time member of the Greenwood County Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, Rex Parks of Hamilton; daughters Pauline Bane of Eureka and Helen Gell of Mukilteo, Wash.; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 17 great-grand- children; 12 step-great grand- children; three great-great grandchildren; and four step- great great grandchildren.

A memorial has been established in her name with the Medicalodge of Eureka Activity Fund. Contributions may be sent in care of Campbell-Kelley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045.
