Obituary of MILDRED F. KEPLAR
Mildred F. Keplar, 94, of rural Joplin, Mo., formerly of El Dorado, died Sunday evening, Feb. 20, 2000, at a Joplin nursing home after one year of ill health.  Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at the Oak Grove Baptist Church, south of Joplin, with the Rev. Johnny Wilkins officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado. Her grandsons will serve as pall bearer.

She was born Oct. 28, 1905 near Kansas City, Mo. to William and Alice Hartgrove. She married Edward Keplar July 5, 1924 in El Dorado. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1952.

She moved to the Joplin area 16 years ago from El Dorado. She was a kitchen helper in several area restaurants. she attended the Oak Grove Baptist Church south of Joplin.

She is survived by three sons, Harry Keplar of El Dorado and George and Bob Keplar, both of Joplin; three daughters, Alice Markle of Joplin, Mary Lou Drew of El Dorado and Ruby Keplar of Chanute; a sister, Caroline Osler of Boise, Idaho; 28 grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Richard and Bill Keplar.

Memorial contributions may be made o the Oak Grove Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mason-Woodard Mortuary, Joplin.
