Mark and Hope Thompson, McPherson, are the proud parents of a daughter Kaitlynn Rose, born Aug. 3, 2001, at Newton Medical Center, Newton, Kaitlynn weighed eight pounds and was 19.25 inches long. She has one sister, Brandi, 11 years old.

Grandparents are Gene and Judy Laney and Warren and Gladys Thompson, all of Cottonwood Falls. Great-grandparents are Harry and Imogene Cheever, Ramona, and Marion Laney, Strong City.
