Graham & Winslow

The Rev. and Mrs. Alfred S. Wakefield of Big Lake, Minn. announce the engagement of their daughter, Beth E. Winslow, to Charles R. Graham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil K. Graham of Cottonwood Falls, Kansas.

Miss Winslow is a 1964 graduate of Highland High School. She is now a senior at The College of Emporia, Emporia, Kansas.

Mr. Graham is a 1964 graduate of Chase County Community High School, Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. He is also a senior at The College of Emporia. No wedding date has been set.

NEWLYWEDS HOME HERE

Beth Ellen Winslow, daughter of Mrs. Jeanne Wakefield of Big Lake, Minn., and James R. Winslow of Falls City, Neb., became the bride of Charles Robert Graham,son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Graham, Cottonwood Falls.

The Rev. Noah McCain and The Rev. A.S. Wakefield read the ceremony Aug. 17 at the First Methodist Church in Emporia. The candles were lighted by Anne Jacques and Tammy Eagen.

The bride wore a gown of Chantilly lace and peau de soie with Chantilly lace appliques. The Empire bodice and long sleeves were of Chantilly lace and the chapel-length train of peau de soie was trimmed with Chantilly lace appliques. Her shoulder-length veil was held in place by a crown of seed pearls and white flowers. She carried a cascade bouquet of stephanotis and white feathered carnations.

The bride's sister, Vicki Wakefield of Big Lake, was maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Carmen Herskowitz of WaKeeney and Vandi Jacques of Shawnee Mission. Terri Lynn Boyle served as flower girl and Tina Eagen was the ring bearer.

Allen Gill of St. Louis, Mo., was best man and the groomsmen were Robert Olson of Herington and Greg Wakefield of Big Lake. Ushers were John Spencer of Emporia, Dave Rampy and Jim Phillips of Sedgewick and Dennis Burton of Cottonwood Falls.

A reception in the church parlor followed the ceremony. The couple arrived in Topeka Aug. 24 and is at home at 610 Topeka, Apt. 2 A graduate of the College of Emporia, the bride is teaching the fifth grade at Clay Elementary School in Topeka. The bridegroom is a senior at the College of Emporia majoring in music education.
