He lived in Harveyville, PA after the War until March 1876,
and then relocated to Elmdale, Kansas.
He died at the Old Soldier's Home in Dodge City, Ford, Kansas

He was born retarded, and was cared for by Winfield Training School after the
death of his parents. His mother died prematurely. She succumbed to
complications one week after surgery. Archie was admitted to the
Kansas State Home for the Feeble-Minded on July 9, 1915.
