Anderson, Otis F Dr.

Dr. Otis Floyd "Doc" Anderson, 89, died in the Forrest Manor Nursing Center, Dewey, Okla.

Funeral services were Aug. 21, 2002, in the Elmdale Cemetery, Florence. Rev. Robert "Bob" Word conducted the service. Committal prayers and final rites were directed by the Arnold Moore Funeral Service.

A memorial in remem- brance of "Doc" Anderson has been established with Jane Phillips Hospice. Friends who wish to remember him in this way may forward their gifts to Bluestem Foundation, 3500 S.E. Frank Phillips Blvd., Bartlesville, OK 74006.

A native of Kansas, Otis Floyd Anderson was born on Feb. 3, 1913, at Concordia. He was the son of Earl Vinton and Pearl Blanche Hiner Anderson. He attended school in Douglas and El Dorado. He graduated from El Dorado High School in the Class of 1932. He married the former Miss Emma Ruth Simpson on Dec. 2, 1932, at Eureka. He was a student at the Kansas Chiropractic College, Wichita and was in private practice as a Chiropractic from 1946 until he retired in 1994 in Winfield. Dr. and Mrs. Anderson moved to the Dewey, Okla. community to live in retirement. Mrs. Anderson preceded him in death on July 26, 2002, in Dewey.

"Doc" Anderson was a mem- ber of the Winfield Masonic Lodge A.F.&A.M. No. 110, Winfield.

Survivors include his daughter, Sonyia Stone, Dewey, Okla.; his son, Steven Anderson, Arkansas City; one granddaughter; two great- grandchildren; two brothers, William Anderson, Broken Arrow, Okla. and Earl Anderson,,Olathe; and a sister, Blanche Anderson Pullis, Loveland Colo. He was preced- ed in death by his wife; two brothers, Donald Anderson and Edward Anderson; and an infant sister, LaVon Anderson.
