Miss Leah Bandolin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George George, of this city, died at the George home last Saturday afternoon at 5:50 o'clock, following an illness which has extended over many months. Miss Bandolin's death was due to tuberculosis from which she had suffered for nearly a year, as her first illness started in March, 1917.
For the past few weeks her condition had been critical and her death
was not unexpected, although the suddeness with which it came last Saturday afternoon just after she had eaten her supper when she appeared to be feeling as well as she had been for the past week, was truly a severe shock to her parents.
The funeral will be held at the family home Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Bryan, pastor of the M. E. church will preach the sermon and burial will be made in the Prairie Grove Cemetery west of town.
Miss Bandolin's death will bring sorrow to her many friends in this city and Strong City, where she was born and has spent practically all of her life. As she was a former student of the Chase County High School and later its librarian, she necessarily had a wide acquaintance among the student body and faculty and to these as well as to many others her passing brings deep regret.

CONCERNING THE DEATH OF MISS LEAH BANDOLIN
Leah Bandolin was born in Strong City on Feb 28, 1882, , where she spent the greater part of her life. She attanded the schools of Strong . City., and later attended the Chase county High School. She also attended the Emporia Business College where she took a course in business work. During the school year 1916-1917
Miss Bandolin was librarian of the Chase County High School and
she held this position until failing health compelled her to resign. Her
illness has extended over a period of nearly a year, and for the past two or three months her condition had 'heen critical.
For the past five or six years, Miss Bandolin had lived in this city with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George George, where she had made a wide circle of friends and acquaintances.
The funeral services were held at the family home in this city Tuesday afternoon, January 15th. Rev. J. E. Bryan, preaching the sermon after which interment was made in Prairie Grove Cemetery west of this city. Besides the many friends she also leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George George, of this city, and a large number of relatives in this and Lyon county.
Among the out-of-town relatives and friends who were here to attend the funeral were the following: Mrs. T. J. Fleming and daughter, Miss Loma; S. M Clay; C. S. Clay and wife; Mr. and Mrs.R. L. Clay and son, Paul LeRoy; H, M. Clay and daughter, Miss Minnie, of Emporia; Mrs. Mabel Lore and son, Clay, and Mrs. Elizabeth A. Corrick, and son, Bruce, of Hutchinson;. Miss Irene Fleming, of Belpre; Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Clay, Mr. and Mrs. James George, Mr. and Mrs. Joe George, Charlie Calb and brother of Strong City, and Miss Mabel McClure of Emporia.
