Barker, Gloria Ann Gloria Ann "Grandma Bark Bark" Barker, 60, of Emporia, died May 9, 2004 at her home.
Gloria, the daughter of Bruce and Ida Hull Swift, was born March 6, 1944, in Strong City.
She married Gary Dains of Emporia. They were divorced. She married Donal Barker Jr. Emporia on Feb. 14, 1987. She had worked as a clerk for Dr. Patricia Dorsey in Emporia. She was retired.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Christopher Dains of Gardner and Chad Dains of Emporia; step-son, Rhett Barker of Emporia; brother, Elmer Swift of Strong City; sister, Addie DeWeese of Emporia; eight grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Slabaugh and two brothers, Albert "Bud" Swift and Bruce Swift Jr.
Graveside service was May 12, 2004, in Strong City Cemetery east of Strong City with Pastor Jon Fillipi of the First Church of The Nazarene, of Emporia, officiating.
Memorials are to the Lyon County Chapter of the American Cancer Society or Hand In Hand Hospice sent in care of the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, 605 State. St., Emporia, KS 66801.
