Bartsch, Florence May Toevs

Florence May Bartsch Florence May Toevs Bartsch, 81, of Hesston, died April 1, 2005.

Florence, the daughter of Herman and SusieToevs, was born on May 14, 1923, at Aberdeen Idaho. She married John Bartsch Oct. 15, 1943. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons John Bartsch Jr., Salem Ore.; James Bartsch, Cottonwood Falls; Gregory Bartsch, Newton; daughters, Carol Steiner, Lincoln, Neb.; Marilyn Ward, Kansas City, Mo.; sisters, Elda Andres and Dorothy Miller, Hesston; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and stepfather Herman Schmidt. Funeral services were conducted by pastor Dan Myer at the Newton Bible Church, Newton, April 4. Burial took place at Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.

Memorials are suggested to Billy Graham Evangelistic team, Back to the Bible Broadcast, The Migra Institute and Grace University. Funeral arrangements were handled by Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton.
