Baugh, Clarence Ross
OBITUARY OF C ROSS BAUGH
Clarence Ross Baugh was born at Pleasanton, Kansas, January 16, 1884. At the age of five years he came with his parents to Anderson county and spent the remainder of his boyhood days on a farm near Kincaid. Some time during his eary life he attended business college at Grand Island, Nebr. After he had finished his schooling he was in the employment of different companies and was always found faithful in his work.
On January, 18th, 1914, Mr. Baugh was married to Miss Edna Dewey, at Elk City, Kansas, To this union there was born one son, Charles, age four years About the year of 1913 he was employed as operator and agent at Cedar Point by the Santa Fe Railroad Company. In this position he has always been found to be a trust worthy man.
Some time during the first part of August he was taken ill with typhoid fever and was taken to the Santa Fe Hospital at Topeka where he made a valiant fight, for his life but he was called away and peacefully departed this life at 6;46 p.m., August 26th; Clarence gave assurance to his wife that he was ready to go and this
assurance is a comfort to his friends and loved ones.
He leaves to mourn his loss a host of friends, his wife and son; also his mother and a brother, Mott, who live on the home place, and four brothers
and three sisters, who live near Kincaid.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church at Cedar Point, on August 28th. His body with taken to Elk City for burial.
