Bayless, Rosanna
Mrs. Rosanna
Bayless, wife of O M Bayless, and daughter of B R and Nancy Kendall, of Jefferson county, died at their residence at
Elk, Chase county, Kansas, Saturday afternoon, September 7th 1889.
Her heath for some time had been delicate.
In May last she was taken dangerously ill. Although she had the best of medical attendance, but recovery was doubtful.
She grew worse and weaker till it was evident she was beyond medical skill.
She ceased to settle and her spirit, with gladness, took its flight forever.
The next day a large number of friends gathered at the residenxe, where the funeral services were held. The remains were buried in the
Maddie Creek cemetery. The deceased leaves a husband, two little girls, an aged mother, two sisters and one brother to mourn her loss, who have the heart and sympathies of the entire community.
