Beck, Barbara Jean
Strong City native, Barbara Jean Beck, 72, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, at her home in Carson City, Nev.
She was born in 1935 at Strong City.
Mrs. Beck worked in the casino business for more than 45 years, with more than 30 years at the Carson Nugget. She lived in Carson City, Nev. for the past 45 years.
She is survived by one son, Michael Beck and one daughter, Debbie Honey both of Carson City Nev.; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. Her husband of 39 years, Charles Beck; a son, Robert “Sam” Beck; and a sister and a brother died earlier.
The funeral was at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley. Burial was in Lone Mountain Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation.
