Beedle, Ezra DEATH OF E. R BEEDLE
E. R. Beedle died at his home east of Bazaar last Sunday morning, May 6th. Although Mr. Beedle had been in failing health for a year or two yet his condition did not become serious until about 7:00 o'clock Saturday evening before his death.
Last Saturday afternoon he with Mrs. Beedle were in this city on a brief business trip and at that time he appeared to be in his usual health.
The funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Bazaar church after which internment was made in the Bazaar cemetery.
Ezra R. Beedle, son of Solomon and Elinor Beedle, was born Feb. 14 1854, at Momence, Ill., and grew to man-hood there.
On December 21st., 1876, he was united in marriage to Emma Mead. of Elgin, Ill. They resided near Momence on a farm until the spring of 1880 when they came to Onaga, Kansas where they resided until August, 1881, when they removed to Chase County, Kansas.
They had already purchased a home on Norton Creek where they resided until the
year 1892 when they moved to Aberdeen, Wash. They stayed there until 1895 when they came back to the farm in Kansas, where he was engaged in farming and stock raising.
In the year of 1909 they removed to Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, where they resided one year, when they returned to the farm. at Norton Creek,
where they resided until the year 1919 when they again removed to Cottonwood Falls. They lived there until last November when they again returned to the farm.
To this union were born four sons and two daughters. Guy G., of Miami, Ariz.; Mabel. L. Johnson, who resides on the home farm ; Carl C, who is at the present time in Cedar City, Utah; Reuben, of Peoria, Ariz.; Edna E. Sauble, of Springer, New Mexico, and Roy C., of Bazaar, also twenty-two grandchildren and two great grand children who, with his wife, are left to mourn the loss. Four of the children were home to the funeral, two sons, Guy and Carl, being unable to be present. Two sisters, Mrs. Hugh Cleal, of Chicago, Ill. and Mrs. Geo. Greenawalt of. Aurora, Ill., were also present.
