Blackwell, Anna

Death of Mrs. Blackwell. Mrs. Anna Blackwell, of Strong City who has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. Frank Taylor in Emporia, suddenIy died at the latter's home last Saturday night.

Wednsday, Mrs. Blackwell went to Council Grove to spend a few day visiting, and to attend a barbecue. On her way home she stopped in Emporia to visit her daughter. Saturday evening they tame down town, Mrs. Blackwell evidently in her usual health. About 7 o'clock she became violently ill, and was immediately taken to the Taylor home, 855 East street, Doctors were summoned at once, but before medical aid could be given she died.

Mrs. Blackwell was 48 years old, and seemingly in good health until Saturday evening. Heart failure was the cause of her death.

The body was brought to Strong City and the funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon.
