Chase County Obituaries

Bottiger, Sadie Sadie Bottiger the 19 year old daughter of Mr and Mrs W P Bottiger, formerly of South Fork this county, now of West Plains, Mo., died at the home of her sister, Mrs. R L Stewart in this city, Wednesday night from a complication of diseases.
Miss Bottiger, who was teaching school at High Prairie, was taken with typhoid fever shortly before the holidays. She was very sick but finally recovered sufficiently to resume her school, but later events show that she went back to work too soon and after teaching a month a relapse of the fever caused her to again give up her school.
This was about three weeks ago and since that time, she has been at the home of her sister where all that loving hands could do has been done for her comfort and recovery, but all in vain. Her determination and energy were too great for her strength.
Sadie Bottiger was one of the brightest of Chase County's teachers. She was teaching her second year but did her work with such energy and enthusiasm that she was more successful than many who had much more experience. She was one of the girls who do things--one of the girls that will be missed.
The funeral will be held from the Presbyterian church Saturday afternoon at 2:30. Death is sad enough under any circumstances but doubly sad when it claims one so young whose life promised so much of good and happiness.
