Branden Lee Bowman, 25, Council Grove died Friday, Feb. 1, 2008 from injuries he received in a one vehicle accident on the Dunlap Road.

Branden, the son of Rick A. Bowman and Carolyn S. Michaelis, was born March 12, 1982, at Fort Riley. He was a graduate of Council Grove High School in 2000. He worked for Jerry’s Concrete in Council Grove.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Gary Wirtz, Council Grove; his father of Chillicothe, Ohio; a brother, Jeremy A. Bowman, Council Grove; a step-sister, Brianna Bowman, Chillicothe, Ohio; grandparents, Carl and Mary Bowman, Welaka, Fla.; and step-grandfather, Francis Osgood, Council Grove.He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Vera Osgood; and grandfather, George L. Michaelis.
Funeral services were held Wednesday Feb. 6, at the Penwell-Gabel Flint Hills Chapel in Council Grove with Pastor Clarence Sumner officiating. Interment followed in Sunny Slope Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Morris County Anti Drug Task Force and may be sent in care of the funeral home, 137 North Union St., Council Grove, KS 66846.
