R.C. BRANDLEY DEAD

Cottonwood Falls—Funeral services for Robert Clinton Brandley, former Chase County rancher and stockman, who died at his home in Cassoday Tuesday, will be held at the Brown funeral home here Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. The Rev. Mrs. Retha Sadler will conduct the services. Burial will be in Prairie Grove cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. James Bell, Sr., Mrs. Katherine Murdock and Robert Way will sing, accompanied by Miss Marjorie Fisk. The pallbearers will be George Golden, Lewis Newkirk, Jesse Snedegar, Ted Decker and Roy Mushrush.
Robert Brandley, son of the late Capt. and Mrs. Henry Brandley, was born at Matfield Green March 24, 1882, one of eight children. The family lived in a log cabin 3-1/2 miles from Matfield Green.
He married Matilda Meyer of Matfield Green in September, 1907. In 1939 he and Mrs. Brandley moved to Cassoday.
Surviving are his wife of the home: two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Turner, Richmond Calif.; Mrs. Ruby Kirk, Strong City; one son, Robert Brandley, Eureka; one sister, Mrs. J.P. Harsh, Planeview. A son, John David, died in infancy.

OBITUARY OF ROBERT BRANDLEY
Funeral services for Robert Brandley of Cassoday, Kansas were held at the Brown Funeral Home, August 24, 1951 at 2:30 p.m. The music was furnished by Jim Bell, Mrs. Jesse Bell, Mrs. Katherine Murdock and Robert Way accompanied by Marjorie Fisk at the organ and Fred Arnold with violin.
The Rev. Mrs. Retha Sadler officiated and pallbearers were Victor Kirk, George Golden, Fred Howard, Jess Snedegar, Ted Decker and Roy Mushrush. Burial was in Prairie Grove cemetery.
Robert Clinton Brandley, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brandley was born at Matfield Green, March 24, 1882 and passed away at his home August 21, 1951, Cassoday, Kansas.
He was one of eight children who lived with their parents in a log cabin ranch house three and a half miles from Matfield Green.
In September 1907 he married Matilda Meyer of Matfield Green. They were the parents of four children, Virginia, Ruby and Robert and John David who died at birth. He was one of the well known ranchers of Chase county. In 1939 he and Mrs. Brandley moved to Cassoday which has since been their home.
Mr. Brandley is survived by his wife, Matilda, two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Turner, Richmond, Calif., Mrs. Ruby Kirk of Strong City, one son, Robert Brandley of Eureka, one sister, Mrs. J.B. Harsh of Plainview, Kansas and six grandchildren.
