Mary J. Martin Burright

Mary J. Burright, 52, of Strong City died Friday, April 15, 2005 at her home.

Mary Jean Martin, the daughter of Virgil E. and Marguerite (Peggy) Waddell Martin, was born Dec. 19, 1952, in San Diego, Calif. She married Robert Burright July 3, 1969, at the courthouse in Cottonwood Falls.

She was a homemaker and worked various jobs outside the home.

She is survived by her husband, Bob, of the home; three sons, Jonathan W. Burright, Strong City; Shaun E. Burright, Elmdale; and Robert L. Burright, Cottonwood Falls; two daughters, Melissa J. Rogers and Ashley N. Burright, Strong City; a brother, Virgil E. Martin II, Strong City; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bill Martin. Celebration of life services were held Monday, April 18, at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home. Pastor David Parks officiated the service.

Interment followed at Prairie Grove Cemetery at Cottonwood Falls. Memorial contributions to the Grandchildrens' Education Fund may be sent in care of Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, 201 Cherry Street, Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
