Cahoone, Howard A

Howard A. Cahoone, 70, of Cottonwood Falls, died March 26, 2003, at Newman Regional Health.

An electrician; he worked; on construction sites much of his life. He owned and operated Darla's Family Center in Cottonwood Falls from 1985 until he retired in 1997. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 until 1954 and was hon- orably discharged with the rank of corporal.

Howard A. Cahoone, the son of Oliver Howard and Lucile Allen Cahoone, was born Aug. 13, 1932, in Wichita. He mar- ried Zelma Maxine Livesay in 1956, in Wichita. Mr. Cahoone was a member of American Legion Russell Blackburn Post 123 in Strong City.

He is survived by. a son, Bruce Cahoone, of Cottonwood Falls; a daughter, Darla Weiss of Cottonwood Falls;, a step= daughter, Debra Kay Bupp of Wichita; a brother, William Cahoone of Strong City, seven grandchildren; and one great- granddaughter. A stepson, Thomas Barlow, and a brother, Robert Earl Cahoohe, died earlier.

The funeral service was March 28, 2003, in Strong City Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Seth and Tyler Weiss Education Fund can be sent to the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, 201 Cherry St., Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
