Cahoone, Riley C

Riley C. Cahoone, 81, died Dec. 26, 2003, at Cottonwood Falls. He was born the son of Sidney J. and Annabelle Riley Cahoone, Feb. 15, 1922, at Cedar Point. He graduated from Chase County High School. He was a veteran of World War II.

He married Donna Fear May 30, 1952, in Emporia. Mr. Cahoone was a crane operator in the construction business. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 1201 of Kansas City, Mo. since 1964.

He is survived bv his wife; three sons, Steven C. Cahoone of Emporia, Doug Cahoone and Ron Cahoone both of Cottonwood Falls; a daughter, Cindy Munsell of Park City; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Don Cahoone of Little Rock, Ark; and three sisters, Virginia Cooper and Juanita Starkey of Cottonwood Falls, and Laura Searcy, Somis, Calif. He was preceded in death by a brother, Sid, and two sisters, Grace and Elerreen.

The funeral will be Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004 at 11 a.m., at Croy Funeral Home, Cottonwood Falls with Tom Bell officiating. Cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Cottonwood Falls Country Club.
