Cahoone, Sidney M Jr
The funeral for Sidney M. "Sid" Cahoone Jr., 75, of Cottonwood Falls was held April 15, 2002, in the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Pat Ireland of the First Presbyterian Church in Cottonwood Falls conducted the service. Burial was in the Bazaar Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Hand in Hand Hospice can be sent to the funeral home.
Mr. Cahoone died April 10, 2002, at the Chase County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cottonwood Falls. He was a longtime rancher and cowboy and an Army veteran of WWII. Sidney M. Cahoone, the son of Sidney and Anna Belle Riley Cahoone, was born Aug. 17, 1926, at Cottonwood Falls.
He married Wanda "Jim" Pinkston on May 22, 1948, at Cottonwood Falls. Mr. Cahoone was a member and past president of the Chase County Cattlemen's Association.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Vicki Ann Cahoone of the home and Terri Jo Bek of Curtis, Neb.; two brothers, Riley Cahoone of Cottonwood Falls and Don Cahoone of Little Rock Ark.; three sisters, Virginia Cooper and Juanita Starkey, both of Cottonwood Falls, and Laura Scearcey of Ventura, Calif.; and one granddaughter, A son, Jess Cahoone died earlier.
