Centlivre, Helen M. Green

Helen M. Centlivre, 85, formerly of Topeka, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at Morris County Hospital, Council Grove.

Graveside services were held Dec. 17, at Penwell-Gabel Memorial Park Cemetery, in Topeka.

Helen Green, the daughter of Verle and Wilma Mason Green, was born Feb. 7, 1918, in Valisca, Iowa. She married Donald L. Centlivre, Sr., Aug. 12, 1939, in Olathe. He died in 1980.

She was a department head of National Reserve Life Insurance Company in Topeka for 25 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge #58.

She is survived by a son, Donald L. Centlivre Jr., of Cottonwood Falls; a daughter, Sharon K Fogelberg, of Topeka; two brothers, Robert Green of Houston, Texas and Norman Dean Strasbaugh of Pampa, Texas; a sister, Norma Jean Rhoades of Pampa, Texas; six grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Green; and three sisters, Frances Markley, Edna Marie Ruppert and Violet Mable Emerson.
