Clinton, Ernest Frank

Ernest F. "Lucky" Clinton, 78, died Monday, June 21, 2004, at his home in Americus.

Ernest Frank Clinton, the son of Floyd and Jessanine Glenn Clinton, was born on Jan 20, 1926, in El Paso, Texas. He married Doris Lawrence May 1, 1953, in Strong City. She preceded him in death in 1988.

He was a welder and did construction work most of his life. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He attended the Americus United Methodist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Darlene "Dee" Griffin of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. The service was Saturday, June 26, 2004, in the Elmdale Cemetery near Elmdale. Mr. Clinton was cremated.

Memorial contributions to the Salvation Army may be sent in care of the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, 201 Cherry St., Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
