Collett, Catherine
Mrs. Catherine Collett, sister of the late Mrs. Robert Cuthbert, died at her residence a few miles east of this city, Nov. 23, 1893. Her brother, William Cave of Wisconsin, who had not seen her for thirty-six years, arrived a few days before her death, intending to spend the winter.
The deceased was born in Cambridgeshire, England, Nov. 25, 1816. She came to the United States and settled in Kansas in 1871 and married Mr. George Collett, Sr. who died about eighteen months ago in 1872.
The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Thomas Lidzy in the M E church, this city, and she was buried in Prairie Grove cemetery, Nov. 25, 1893 that day being the 77th anniversary of her birth.
