Collins, John R John R. Collins, 73, died at his home in Elmdale on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005. Cremation has taken place. A service will be held at a later date.
John Robert Collins, the son of Charles Stuart and Fannie Nathalie Coffman Collins, was born Feb. 26, 1932, in Warrensburg, Mo. He had been married and was divorced.
He worked as a truck driver for Yellow Freight and for Interstate Brands (Dolly Madison) until his retirement in August 1994.
He was a member of the Teamster's Union.
He is survived by four sons, Charles Dennis Collins of North Chili, N.Y., William Charles Collins of Tampa Bay, Fla., Michael Lawrence Collins of Elmdale and Steve Collins; three daughters, Johnnie Collins of Elmdale, Julie Collins and Vicki Collins; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Nathalie Collins.
Arrangements are with Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, Cottonwood Falls.
